WASHINGTON, D.C. – Vice President Joe Biden, who is leading an administration-wide review of gun safety laws, has vowed to strip Lucas McCain, known in New Mexico Territory as “The Rifleman,” of his modified Winchester 1892 caliber .44-40 carbine that performs similar to a semi-automatic rifle.
“It’s our first priority to get that gun away from him,” Biden vowed. “No one is safe so long as he has it.”
McCain, a rancher, father, widower, and ex-lieutenant in the 19th Indiana Volunteer Infantry Regiment, said that Biden “is entitled to his opinion.”
“I reckon that’s kinda what makes this nation so great,” said McCain,”that men don’t have to agree on everything.”
