strait20jacket_0NEW BEDLAM - According to a study published yesterday in the Journal of American Psychiatry, children of parents with bi-polar disorder are fourteen times more likely to be wack-jobs.

The results of the study were made public by Dr. Sigmund Rickles, world-renowned insult therapist.

“When either the father or mother of a child possesses what modern psychiatry refers to as ‘personality issues,’ the child is far more susceptible to be off their rocker.”

Dr. Rickles said society would be better off if “these juvenile nut-cases” were locked up in padded rooms immediately, “since we’re going to have to house them in the loony-bin eventually.”

Child advocates, as well as mental health professionals were universal in their condemnation of the study, as well as Dr. Rickles.

“The methodology used was all wrong. But then to compound the matter by using such insensitive terms to describe people suffering from psychiatric diseases is unprofessional and cruel,” said Dr. Patricia Shaughnessy.

Informed of Dr. Shaughnessy’s remarks, Dr. Rickles merely shrugged his shoulders.

“Sounds like this broad’s a little nuts, too.”
